The museum's mission is to preserve the mining, smelting and cultural history of North Idaho's Silver Valley.

The museum, located in the 104 year old Bunker Hill Company Staff House,
is a short walk from 
Silver Mountan's all season resort and the
Trail of the Coeur d'Alene's bike trail.  A thirty minute drive east will take you to the Route of the Hiawatha bike trail.

1910 Forest Fire Exhibits

"Summer of Fires – Letters Home" 

An exhibit of local fire photographs and excerpts from a woman on a homestead up Pine Creek and a United States Forest Service worker at Graham Creek along with a replica of a fire camp.

Wallace Mining Museum

"All Things Pulaski"
Artifacts from PUlaski Tunnel and the archeological dig at the tunnel site.

"The Wallace Experience"
Part of Wallace burned and the exhibit has photographs of the town.  A virtual exhibit where you can use the kiosk display to show aspects of the fire.  Also, a sequencing digital photo display of fire photographs.


Northern Pacific Depot Museum

An exhibit of the transportation aspects of the fire and the role railroads played.


John Mullan Museum

Fire photographs in the Mullan area, east to Taft, Montana and south to Grand Forks and Avery, Idaho.
