The museum's mission is to preserve the mining, smelting and cultural history of North Idaho's Silver Valley.
The museum, located in the 105 year old Bunker Hill Company Staff House,
is a short walk from Silver Mountan's all season resort and the
Trail of the Coeur d'Alene's bike trail. A thirty minute drive east will take you to the Route of the Hiawatha bike trail.
In celebration of the museum’s twenty-fifth anniversary, The Shoshone County Mining and Smelting Museum aka the Staff House 820 McKinley Ave., Kellogg is pleased to present Historically Based Songs of Idaho with Gary Eller Sunday, October 2 at 2:00 pm Admission is Free This program is funded in part by the Idaho Humanities Council, a non-profit organization that serves as the state-based affiliate of the national Endowment for the Humanities.
